Panasonic PTZ cameras enable professional cyclists and athletes to improve performance at the UGent.

When trying to capture footage of athletes’ performances for analysis and training, coaches often lack robust cameras and the additional manpower and tools to create high-quality videos.

“Using Panasonic PTZ cameras, we were able to automate framing, and timing loops of track cyclists, while limiting the amount of work involved for the coaches and any technical staff.” – Maarten SlembrouckIDLab, Ghent University

The AW-UE150 and UE100 PTZ cameras were chosen due to their adaptability and high level of control when being rotated horizontally and vertically, in addition to impressive focal distance and zoom.

The UE100 features a direct drive motor that offers smooth pan and tilt movement, with installation flexibility, low noise and high-resolution image capture making it ideal for sports analysis. It also supports a wide variety of IP transmission protocols.

Panasonic commitment to a better future

In a world where sustainability is paramount, Panasonic group stands at the forefront of innovation and commitment.

Here are our main targets and principals to reduce the CO2 emissions resulting from our entire value chain and beyond in order to contribute to climate change mitigation – in line with the Paris Agreement.

Panasonic’s own CO2 emissions along our entire value chain: We aim to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050. In this context, one core aspect is the implementation of so-called “Zero-CO2 emission factories”, which means that the emissions will become net-zero until 2030.

We plan to realize avoided emissions of 38.3 million tons of CO2 in fiscal 2025. These contributions will supposedly be achieved in various business areas, through our products and services – for example EV batteries, heat pumps, LED lights, heat exchange systems, fuel cells etc.

Since establishing the group’s first zero-CO2 factory in FY 2019, meanwhile, there are 31 of these zero CO2 emission factories globally and this is a big step forward. It means we are on good track to achieve our target of 37.

Equally to our factories, our colleagues from General Affairs at the respective locations across Europe are continuously working on actions for non-manufacturing sites. One highlights this year in summer has been the installation of the large PV system at our Wiesbaden (Germany) location.
